Cancer is not only physically and emotionally painful, it is very expensive. You want to die. I’m not going to lecture you. But I wouldn’t do so selfishly, and cancer will destroy your family. Even after you are gone, they will be left with hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt to pay for your treatment- and you don’t even want treatment.

You say you have gotten help, and nothing works- but it only works if you want it to. I’d seriously consider why you want to die, or not live. Life isn’t easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. I’d continue to get counseling and really truly figure out why you want to die. Stop living for yourself and start living for everyone else. If you aren’t going to be happy anyway, at least you could try to make the people in your life happy.

Direct suicide hurts too many people? You think a slow and painful death from cancer doesn’t hurt those who care for you and those you leave behind? Have you ever SEEN someone die of cancer? Have you any idea the pain that experience and the memory of it causes? To this day, 30 years later, the memory of my mother pleading for death in the final 30 or so hours of her life brings me to tears.

Cancer, in any case, would be a most inefficient way of doing away with yourself, even if there was a way you could deliberately develop it, which there is not.

Cancer is by no means guaranteed to cause death, and where it does that death can take months or years.

Trust me, a good clean quick death would be easier on everyone.

I think you have some romantic idea about death from cancer. Three days ago you were concerned about which ski goggles were cool. Grow up and stop insulting those who are dealing with the daily realities of this filthy disease

I’m in the same boat at the moment. You have to discipline yourself to eating every 2 or 3 hours. Instead of having 3 massive meals, have more light meals throughout the day. Consume alot of protein, eat more lean beef, carbs ect.

Working out breaks down muscle so when it heals itself it recovers bigger and stronger. You can’t start breaking down muscle if you haven’t got the eating in check. They go hand in hand.

There are a couple of reasons why most people fail in their attempt to gain more muscle mass:

A. Improper diet.

They are not stressing their muscles during each workout. You don’t have to kill yourself, but you must subject your body to out of the ordinary stress each workout to grow muscle.

B. They lack consistency.

They do not stay focused throughout the entire 12-week period. If they don’t see results immediately, they get discouraged and quit. You have got to stick with your plan. No program will work for you if you are not consistent.

To get results, you have to be willing to do whatever it takes, and work as hard as necessary and you have to be consistent. Your body responds to consistency. Sometimes it may get to the point of obsession, but it has to be that way for you to reach your goal.

Here’s some basic information and things you should be doing to help you bulk up:

1. To gain weight you must eat more calories than your body burns off, so EAT MORE!!!!!! The most important thing that I cannot over stress is that you need to eat to gain weight. You need to eat like you’ve never eaten before. (but not junk food like donuts and chips or candy).

Start eating six meals per day (space them out to about once every 3 hours).

2. Increase your protein intake and reduce your simple carbohydrate intake. Without protein your body cannot build new muscle

3. Keep your workouts under one hour. Short and intense!

4. Concentrate on free weight exercises that work the large muscle groups. The best weight training exercises for building mass are the simple ones. For mass, stick with compound free weight exercises like squats, deadlifts, bench presses, barbell rows, pull ups and bar dips.

5. Use heavy weights and low reps, rest 3 minutes between each set.

6. Do only 2-3 exercises per body part.

7. Split your workout. Since you have a very high metabolism like me, you need to train with more intensity, but less frequently.

Day 1: Chest, shoulders and triceps
Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Back, and Bicep
Day 4: Rest
Day 5: Legs and abs
Day 6: Rest
Day 7: Rest

8. Increase you water intake. A good formula for this is to multiply your bodyweight by .66 to get the required number of ounces per day.

9. Use nutritional supplements. If you can’t afford too many products, just stick with the basics; like whey protein. If you can’t afford whey protein the next best thing is egg whites.

My friend got her Belly re-pierced about 6 weeks ago and says its infected. shes too embarrassed to call where she got it done.

First of all, if it really is infected and not rejecting, she should see a doctor for antibiotics. Also, she must NOT take out the jewelry because it close up and cause the infection to be trapped inside. Many things used to treat infections with wounds and such aren’t good for piercings but I’d say getting rid of the infection is priority. Perhaps hydrogen peroxide will help.

Next time she gets a piercing, perhaps she should clean it better and/or find a different studio to get it done. If it’s infected, then she’s probably not cleaning it enough and/or the studio wasn’t hygienic.

If it’s REJECTING, that’s a whole different story. The body pushes the jewelry out to the surface of the skin. The area gets very red and irritated and you begin to see the jewelry through the skin when it’s rejecting. If her piercing is rejecting, she should remove it and consider getting a different piercing. Perhaps her anatomy is not suited for naval piercings.

Or try salt soaks. If you have kosher salt that is the best, but i suppose any salt would work. Mix a teaspoon in a shot glass with warm water. make sure the salt is disolved in the water. Then have your friend put her belly piercing and surrounding skin in the shot glass. Find a position (standing, sitting, laying down) that allows her to soak the area in the salt water for 10 to 15 mins. Do this 2 times a day. Use a gentle cleanser to clean the piercing every day as well. There is a gentle soap that professional piercing studios recommend, but I can’t remember what it’s called. I’ve heard that hydrogen peroxide is not good for piercings. Be careful not to use harsh soaps either, you don’t want to dry out the surrounding skin. Hopefully she should see improvements with the salt soaks within a week.
